The Legend of Chinese Democracy
The world has changed
I feel it in the water
I feel it in the earth
I smell it in the air
Much that once was, is lost.
For none now live who remember it
It began with the forging of a great album Many had worked on the
album, but none knew the truth For within its works was bound the will
and power to govern all music
But they were, all of them, deceived; for the truth hid itself In the
land of Angels, across the fires of Latigo Canyon in the San Fernando
Valley, the Great Band forged, in secret, a master recording.
And into this recording they poured their cruelty, all malice and will to dominate all music.
One album to rule them all.
One by one, the free lands of the music fell to the power of the album.
But there were some that resisted.
A Last Alliance of Universal and Interscope marched against the armies
from Latigo And on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada's they fought for
the freedom of Chinese Democracy.
Victory was near, but the power of the Chinese Democracy could not be undone.
In the end the Great Band kept Chinese Democracy and kept it hidden from all The album was kept secret and kept safe
But the hearts all men are easily corrupted, and the album of power had a will of its own.
It betrayed the Great Band to its death.
And some things that should not have been forgotten, stayed forgotten.
History became legend, legend became myth, and for many years, the album passed out of all knowledge.
The great leader who kept it secret and kept it safe Hidden in the deepness of the Latigo Canyon Road.
And there, it consumed the Great BandLeader.

The album brought to Axl unnatural long life.
For years, it poisoned his mind.
And in the gloom of Axl's studio, it waited.
Darkness crept back into the world.
Rumor grew of a shadow in the West, whispers of a nameless fear.
And Chinese Democracy perceived: its time had now come.......
Rose: Master looks after us. Universal wouldn't hurt us.
Axl: Universal broke their promise!
Rose: Don't ask Rose. Poor, poor Rose
Axl: Universal betrayed us! Wicked, tricksy, false! We ought to wring
their filthy little neck! Kill them! Kill them! Kill them all. And then
we take the Precious and we be the master.
Rose: But Interscope. They know. Eyes always watching.
Axl: Then we stabs them out. Put out their eyes. And make them crawl.
Rose: Yes! Yes! Yes!
Axl: Kill them both.
Rose: Yes! No. No. It's too risky, it's too risky.
Axl: We could let Sanctuary do it.
Rose: Yes. they could do it.
Axl: Yes, Precious, they could. And then we takes it once they're dead.
Rose: Once they're dead. Hush!
Axl: We wants it. We needs it. Must have the precious. They stole it from us. Sneaky little bastards Wicked, tricksy, false!
Rose: No! Not Master.
Axl: Yes, precious. False. They will cheat you, hurt you, lie.
Rose: No! Master's my friend.
Axl: You don't have any friends. Nobody likes YOU...
Rose: (He covers his ears)
Not listening. Not listening.
Rose: You're a liar and a thief.
Axl: (He shakes his head)
Nope.
Rose: You murderer! You killed the band...you stole the name
Axl: (He starts to weep and whimper)
Go away.
Rose: Go away?! HAHAHAHA!!
Axl: I hate you. I hate you!
Rose: Where would you be without me? I saved us. It was me. We survived because of me!
Axl: Not anymore.
Rose: What did you say?
Axl: I know something you don't. We don't need you.
Rose: What?
Axl: Leave now and never come back.'
Rose: No!
Axl: (Louder) Leave now and never come back!
Rose: (He growls and bares his teeth)
Axl: LEAVE. NOW. AND. NEVER. COME. BACK!
(Axl pants and then looks around)
Axl: We... we told him to go away! And away he goes, precious.
(He hops around in joy and does a little dance)
Gone, gone, gone! Axl is free!
-And then there was a dawn of a new era and everything felt as it had
never left. The precious remained, but something was uncovered that
allowed it to be free. All men and women embraced the precious and it
ruled over all.
